5. Privacy and Data

Key points: We do not store your voice recordings or journal content on our servers. Most processing happens locally on your device, and when AI features are used, only anonymized text summaries are processed.

6. App Store Terms

AI Voice Journal is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download, installation, and use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms and Conditions.

Any in-app purchases, subscriptions, or billing are handled by Apple and subject to their terms and policies.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

AI Voice Journal, including its design, features, algorithms, and content, is owned by Penguin Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited license to use the App for personal purposes.

Your Rights

You retain ownership of all content you create using the App, including your journal entries and voice recordings. You can export or delete your data at any time.

8. Limitations and Disclaimers

Service Availability

While we strive for reliable service, we cannot guarantee that the App will be available 24/7 or free from interruptions. AI features depend on third-party services and may occasionally be unavailable.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Penguin Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, though we will make reasonable efforts to contact you first.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, but any data stored locally on your device remains yours.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
